I hadn't made the connection between modern progressives and historical puritans, but it is a logical one. If you say anything negative about progressives, you are automatically branded as a racist, terrorist, bigot, or something worse. I also hadn't also considered that some of the folks I associated with the left (Bill Maher) were also really displeased with the direction these new liberals and progressives are going.
If being non-conformist becomes mainstream then, is this a good thing?
I don't agree with the video on all points. I haven't really seen this rising of conservatism, as he said is rising up. I do like the idea of being a cultural libertarian. I know they stand for free speech, expression, and thought.
